iSCSI HP StoreVirtual Multipathing Extension Module (MEM)
Hello,
have you experienced troubles with iSCSI HP StoreVirtual Multipathing Extension Module (MEM) for VMware vSphere 5.5? We have problem when some node will go down or just restarts during upgrade (LUNs are available, quorum is ok, network ok) some ESXi servers stops responding to vCenter. VMs are still runing on them but cant be migrated and only solution is hard restart of ESXi server. Restarting management agents or graceful restarting not work. Cant find on HP if any special settings are needed on ESXi servers for using MEM. We have delayedACK turned off and LoginTimeout 15s set for iSCSI connections.
VMware support told us it is HP_SATP_LH driver problem. We had to uninstall MEM and returned to use esxi default SATP drivers which are working without any troubles.
Logs reports this:

Re: iSCSI HP StoreVirtual Multipathing Extension Module (MEM)
Lots of people have the exact same issue, see http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/HP-StoreVirtual-Storage-LeftHand/StoreVirtual-Multipathing-Extension-Module-for-vSphere-5-5/td-p/6748172.
We opened a support case with HP, they acknowledged the issue and are working on a solution...
