Synergy 3820C and VMware bnx2x driver 2.713.30.v60
Hi,
I am trying to find a usable driver version for my blades in VMware ESXi 6.0.
anything before 2.713.10.v60 => VXLAN offloading broken (https://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=2114957)
2.713.10.v60 => Also removed from Image for whatever reason
2.713.30.v60 => destroys network cards (is Synergy impacted here?!)
So what am I supposed to use?

Re: Synergy 3820C and VMware bnx2x driver 2.713.30.v60
HI
The last driver is this - Version: 2017.10.06 Nov 13 2017
This driver resolves an issue with the supported adapters' firmware that can cause the adapter hardware to become inoperable. See the Customer Notice Advisory a00027591en_us at http://h20566.www2.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-a00027591en_us for more information.
This product resolves an issue where an excessive number of error messages is logged.
This product resolves an issue which results in a VXLAN RX filter failure.

Re: Synergy 3820C and VMware bnx2x driver 2.713.30.v60
Stephan - Not sure if you settled on a working driver yet for your Synergy 3820c under ESXi 6.0, but I recommend the following: Boot your Synergy blades using the latest P05006_001_spp-2018.03.0-SPP2018030.2018_0226.84.iso SPP to get the 3820CNA firmware upgraded to the latest version, then load the latest bnx2x driver set available for this CNA (which is based on the BCM57840 chipset just like the 630FLB in Gen9 hardware) which HPE lists as the 2018.02.12(5 Feb 2018) at https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=MTX_7aa3226d0a5142f6b8c9b98b83 but in fact this same version of the bnx2x driver set has been available from VMware since 2017-12-06 here >> https://my.vmware.com/group/vmware/details?downloadGroup=DT-ESXI60-QLOGIC-BNX2X-271360V601&productId=572
And if you are thinking of upgrading your hosts to ESXi 6.5 by installing from scratch based on the 2018 Feb HPE custom iso, be aware that this bnx2x driver set has been removed from that custom iso altogether - please read this thread for solution: https://community.hpe.com/t5/HPE-Synergy/Synergy-3820C-adapter-with-ESXi-6-5/td-p/6938543
