Can I use Infiniband cable 808722-B24 on Firmware for HP InfiniBand FDR (FW : 2.33.5220)?

Hi,

I want to connect Infiniband cable to DL360 Gen9 server.

The firmware version of Infiniband Adapter (ConnectX-3) is F/W 2.33.5220, and the Infiniband cable model is 808722-B24.

The release notes of the Infiniband Adapter firmware say that the 808722-B24 cable is valid and supported from version F/W 2.42.5700.

But, can it be used with F/W 2.33.5220?

(The 670759-B23 Cable is also said to be valid and supported from F/W 2.42.5700 Infiniband Adapter (ConnectX-3), but it is currently being used normally with the Infiniband adapter 2.32.5100 firmware of other Gen9 servers.)

Please let me know your opinion.

Hello, 

The cable 808722-B24 (  HPE 10 METER INFINIBAND FDR QSFP V-SERIES OPTICAL CABLE ) is not officially listed as supported in the release notes of the 2.33.5220 FW. 

Do You have any issues with it ? If You have any issue with it - it will be better to open a case with the support. 

The support for 808722-B24 is added in the next FW version 2.34.5000
