Add Fortinet Fortigate 100d and 300D to IMC
Dears,
I am adding 3 firewalls to IMC - fortinet fortigate 1000D and 300 D to IMC.
IMC see it as ICMP device not as a firewall.
I updated mib, but not working.
May you advise if you have a valid MIB or if there is any trick.
Also we have read-only SSH to the firewalls, Does IMC need full write admin account for ssh and to add the firewalls ?
Regards,
Wael Agina

Re: Add Fortinet Fortigate 100d and 300D to IMC
It's not a problem with MIBs. It's a problem with SNMP configuration. Check your SNMP setup on the Fortinet devices - either community string or SNMPv3. Check your firewall configuration - does it allow SNMP from IMC to the Fortinet systems?
Double check the SNMP settings you used in IMC when trying to discover the devices.
Test SNMP with another SNMP utility, to validate that basic SNMP is working.
Read only access is fine, but that's only for configuration backups. It doesn't affect polling

Re: Add Fortinet Fortigate 100d and 300D to IMC
I may be too late but, Lindsay is right, once the SNMP settings match on both sides and, SNMP is enabled/allowed on the Fortigate side everything will work. I have added a few Fortigates of various models into IMC wiht out issue.
