IMC Error message when trying to back up a Cisco config

Hello

I am getting the following error when trying to back up a cisco config using IMC. I'm new to this so not too sure how to resolve it. I have checked the SSH username /password are correct. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

1

Initialize task parameters.

Succeeded.

2

Back up device running configuration file to iMC Server.

SSH command execute failed.

1.Check that the iCC supports the device in Hardware and Software Compatibility Matrix.
2.Check that the command syntax and paramaters are correct.
3.Check that the device configuration is correct.

3

Initialize redo task parameters.

Succeeded.

4

Back up device running configuration file to iMC Server by script.

Failed to execute script.

1.Please check if the script is correct.
2.Please check if the network connection to device is normal.
3.Please check if the (T)FTP Server is running.
4.Please check if the FTP username and password are correct.

Re: IMC Error message when trying to back up a Cisco config

Hi,

with SSH login iMC does require secure transfer and do not allow TFTP. iMC 5.1 supports only SFTP, which is sometimes not supported on Cisco. New SP1 for iMC 5.1 add support for Secure Copy. Please make sure file transfer is configured properly in both device and iMC.

You will find exactl details of what is failing in log file on server:

/server/conf/log/imccfgbakdb*

Cheers,

Tomas
