Re: IMC backup failed 5120 switches

Hello,

Can you check and share the backup log file from:

<IMC>/server/conf/log/imccfgbakdm.txt

Thanks!

@Amr-Elsayed If the SNMP/Telnet test is successful, you can check the Device capability set option and File transfer mode options

Navigate to Service > Options:
a. Click the Service tab from the top tabular navigation system.
b. Click Configuration Center on the left navigation tree.
c. Click Options under Configuration Center on the left navigation tree.
The Options page opens.
2. Click the Device Capability Set tab.
Device Capability Set list contents
Device Nameā€”Label of the device.
Device Modelā€”Model of the device.
Operation Typeā€”Type of the operation.

Support for FTPā€”Whether the device supports the FTP transfer mode.
Support for SFTPā€”Whether the device supports the SFTP transfer mode.
Support for SCPā€”Whether the device supports the SCP transfer mode.

1. Navigate to Service > Options:

b. Click Configuration Center on the left navigation tree.
c. Click Options under Configuration Center on the left navigation tree.

Re: IMC backup failed 5120 switches

Hello @Amr-Elsayed,

Is switch 5120 name 'Technip'?

It seems backup fails due to timeout.

But I need more information. Can you please collect 'imccfgbakdm'  DEBUG level logs.?

Please go to  System --> Log Configuration -->imccfgbakdm (Process name) and set log level to 'DEBUG' and repeat the process of backup config for HPE 5120 switch then collect and share log.

Thanks!

Re: IMC backup failed 5120 switches

Hello @Amr-Elsayed,

Can you try to take backup via other transfer mode?

It seems imc cannot find the correct adapter to use.

If problem remains then If possible, can you try to remove HPE 5120 switch from IMC and re-add. It may force it to update the adapter.

Thanks!
