IMC configuration backup on a device with multiple VPNs

Hi

I have an issue with IMC backing up the configuration of a device when the IMC server is available only on a VPN atatched interface. IMC is able to poll and login to the device without issues but when it tries to backup the configuration of the device it uses the tftp command. I need to change this tftp command to include the vpn keyword to make it complete successfully.

Would this be possible?

Thanks in advance

Ismail

Re: IMC configuration backup on a device with multiple VPNs

Hi,

no easy solution, but all scripting iMC does when backing up devices is available for you to change, tweak or create custom adapters. Unfortunatelly this adapter can go down to device type (OID), but not different adapter for individual instances. If let say all you ISR 1841 are the same you can make it - recommend to start from documentation on this.

Files are in /server/conf/adapters/ICC/Cisco

You would create custom adapter, remove OID from existing adapters and assign it to your new one (adapter-index file). In adapter itself TCL script is backup_running_config_tftp.tcl.

Tweak it, click Synchronize on your devices and try ... good luck !
