Hi all,
I've setup a IMC server v7.1 patch 10. I would like a easy way to filter the up/down alarms only on the edge ports.
Most of the time this is a PC that is powerd of, so I don't want to receive an alert for it.
If the uplinks goes down, I would like to receive one of course.
The way I did this, was sytem settings -> filter PC-connected links. But that didn't work. I don't want to add all the PC's to IMC.
I also used to setup custom filters for up/down alert, but then I have to create for every switch a custom filter. That is a lot of work.
Has someone an easier solution?
Many thanks in advance!
Kind regards,

SolutionYou probably also need to enable filtering for 'disconnected links'

Re: IMC v7.1 patch 10: interface up/down filtering
Hi Lindsay,
But when an uplink failes, is there still an alert then?
I typically make a trunk of 2 or more links, so I want to know when 1 of them failes.
Kind regards,

Yes, you will still get alarms for inter-switch links.
