Multihomed IMC - Can you change the default IP that IMC uses

Afternoon,

We have a physical server running IMC 7.0 which is mutlihomed. One address is a routable address and the other a RFC1918 address.

I have noticed IMC seems to be using the private address as its 'primary address' shall we say. When i receive email from IMC it has this IP address in the 'from address'. I have also noticed when configuring sflow it tries to use the private address as the collector.

Does anyone know whether you can change the 'default' IP that IMC uses?

Many thanks

Hi.

There is file called server-addr.xml in \IMC\common\conf.

Shutdown IMC

edit file

Start IMC.

You should be good to go.

Cheers

Thank you for your response.

The address that the IMC server is using is not listed in this file. It just has its local host IP listed for all component addresses.

I dont want to change all the localhost addresses as i am concerned this may do more damage than good.

Any other ideas?
