Newbie question: How to add a new port in IMC?

Hi guys,

Our network guy is out for a few weeks and I need to add a new port to one of our switces this morning. I'm used to change Vlan on an access port but this morning I have something new:

I have to put the port 23 on Vlan 20. The thing is that I cannot access it since it is not activated right now.

I can see all the ports that are already in use but I do not know how to add one that's not used. I thought it would be simple but I cannot find the place to do that.

Could anyone help me with that?

Thank you!

Dag

Get to the switch detail page - one way is resource > device view > switches

On the right of the device details, expand VLAN management.

Assuming you are just setting the port for an untagged vlan, select Access port.

you will see the port list. Up or down you can change the vlan. Check th ebox on the left and press the modify PVID button at the top of the list.

In the dialog, select the PVID for the VLAN you need, in your case 20 and then OK. You are done.

A second path to the same place, is Service tab > VLAN Management > Vlan Devices. Find your switch in the list, click the configure "Gear" icon far right, and then Access port tab.

Hope this  helps. Lots of paths to learn and remember in iMC
