Some messages about snmp traps
Hi all,
I use Networks supervisor to monitorize my network. I have a lot of messages "failed to register for snmp traps 3com" in some switches.
I have the community strings correctly configured.
Why i receive this alert messages?
Thanks all ¡¡

Re: Some messages about snmp traps
I get similar messages, it appears that the devices default to snmp "monitor" for the traps. Even if you setup correctly.
If you login to the switch, check the setup for trap receivers... you will probably see "monitor" as community string. I get this constantly on my 38xx switches and all Unified switches.
Don't know fix.
Rob.
