imc throw me off whenever i refresh a historical traffic graph window

we're running imc v7.2.

when i refresh or select a new time period for a graph page created on the performance view page,  the window containing the graph will close, and i will be logged out of imc.

this happens only when i do the refresh after not touching that page for some amount of time. 

i didn't study this in detail, but some amount of time must pass before this strange behavious happens.

refreshing the page within of the few minutes of the previous activity on that page functions properly. 

i get logged of only if more than a few minutes passes.

THIS IS NOT AN 'IDLE TIME' ISSUE, because my operator account and group have the idle timeout set to 99999.

this occurs on chrome and ff on linux (ubunutu, various versions 14.04, 16.04), and chrome on win10

anyone else experiencing this?
