Advantages of lldp-med

Hi to all,

I have never configured the LLDP-MED protocol to manage the vlan of voip phones, it does not seem complicated to me but I do not understand the advantages.
Normally I create a vlan dedicated to voip, I distribute it on all the switches, I tag it on all ports (except for the ports of the voip switchboard), then I set the phones tagged on that vlan and that's it.
Using the LLDP-MED protocol, in a rather small infrastructure consisting of 10 switches and 70 voip phones, what advantage would I have compared to setting the usual static vlan?
