how to get cisco 7911 to work hp A5120 24G

i want to get my cisco 7911 to work on my HP A5120 24G switch. Any help/advice welocme

Tell us what exactly is the problem? There should be no general compatibility issues with this setup, except the obvious fact that you wont be able to provision the phone with CDP.

When l plug the phone to the switch  the phone just says registering, this goes on.

Do l need to use the OUI address.Is the OUI address the mac address of the phone.

How is the switchport configured? And how is the phone configured? As I said you cannot rely on CDP to do the voice VLAN configuration on HP-gear, if it doesnt support LLDP-MED you'd have to configure the phone manually.

The OUI is the first three parts of the mac address, but im not sure on what you mean that you will need it.. need it for what?

The switch has LLDP -Med  to all ports. i have configure the voice vlan for 2822 for our network, but it just sits there saying registering.

Is the 7911 configured to support LLDP-MED? Look around in the menus and see if you can find something. And please paste the relevant config from your switch.
