3102 Business Phones
We are a small charter school using 3com 3102 business phones. We have no adminitrator or onboard tech/computer person, i.e. noone monitors the server or phone system. We have several phones where there is a voicemail password, but the person(s) who set it is no longer working here and the mailbox is full and can not receive new messages or change the greeting. How can we reset the password w/o having the current password. Also, we do not use logins on the phone... just voicemail passwords and we do not use "NetSet" (whatever that is). Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: 3102 Business Phones
The only way to change a users password is through the NBX Web interface, called Netset.. for this you will need the administrators password. Type in the IP address of the NBX in a browser, then type username:administrator, then the password.. the default password is 0000. so you might try that .. maybe it was never changed.
Then go toSystem Maintenance/Password Adminstration. You will
see a drop down menu, go to User Password and click on "GO". This will bring up all the users.. click on the select box for the users whose passwords you want to change, then click the box "Reset Password". What this does is set the password so it is the same as the extension number of the user.

Re: 3102 Business Phones
hi.. Netset really not a program.. just type in the IP address of the NBX
in the address of your browser and it will come up.. nothing else needed !
