Activating Desktop Call assistant from a link

We have a client that uses Desktop Call assistant 5.0 and would like to be able to interface with our web based application so that when you click on a phone number it will dial the number. We can register a windows protocol manager so that we can use a link like callto://8005551212 and it will pass the phone number to whatever application is registered to handle the callto protocol. Can a phone number be passed to DCA.exe via the command line and is this possible?

Good question

I am not sure but I know we can interface with Outlook on our tapi for outbound dialing .

I'll see if Anyone can answer that ...

Unfortunately, the answer is No... DCA is a closed application and does not allow passing of parameters from other apps...

Most other apps will have their own application built on top of TAPI that will do this and then no need for DCA.

That's unfortunate as the "other app" is a firefox browser and it would be nice if we could make phone numbers clickable. There are a lot of dialers on the market that support this. Like this one
