Corrupted NBX Backup
I'm having trouble restoring a database from an NBX.
Customer has an NBX100 and wants to restore the config to a V3001.
The restore process always ends up with the following error:
DB Upgrade - can't navigate in subdirectories
I assumed it was a compatibility issue so I tried it on another system with the same version of code and I get the following error:
NBX_DB_SCHEMA_ID_000001094
aa.tar
Entered vxtar "-xf" "DB.tar"
tar_open(): Error # 2
Entered vxtar "-xf" "etc.tar"
tar_open(): Error # 2
Entered vxtar "-xf" "vm.tar"
tar_open(): Error # 2
Entered vxtar "-tf" "/htfs0/NBXbackup.tar"
NBX_DB_SCHEMA_ID_000001094
aa.tar
Any ideas on how to get the config restored?
Thanks.

Re: Corrupted NBX Backup
If I boot to a previous version, I will be able to create a working backup?

Re: Corrupted NBX Backup
The NBX 100 hardware is not the same as the V3001 hardware and that the NBX 100 backup cannot be restored onto V3001 hardware even if the software versions are the same.
thanks in advance

Re: Corrupted NBX Backup
100 to 5000 to 3000
I believe that you cannot go back to the NBX 100 but from v3000 to v5000 you can go back and forth
hardware / Device limitations etc .
6.0 is the same rules as 5.0 as well as upgrade to 6.0 from 5.0 from the platforms mentioned as well above . So V3K to V5K 5.0 to 6.0 and vice versa .
The NBX 100 is supported in 6.0 but very limited in functionality due to memory and resources .
V3001 series is not in the conversation due to first code was R6.0.63 GA'ed code .
