Direct mail transfer 6.5 SIP mode
Odd issue here.
If we use the transfer to voicemail feature to transfer a caller directly to a mailbox the caller doesn't hear the mailbox greeting. They just hear dead air. If they say something it gets recorded and show up a a message in the mailbox.
If we do a regular transfer and the call goes unanswered then the greeting plays and the caller can hear it and hear the beep to begin speaking.
All features on "Enable features system-wide" are off except Call timer and SIP mode. We cannont use one button transfer because we use Executive Assistant which requires that be disabled.
Ideas?

What version of code are you running? Is this happening all the time? incoming PSTN call, internal or it doesn't matter? the PSTN line cards are on diferent subnet where the NBX is? do you have music on Tranfer enable? if you do, does it have a music player connected?

hi. If you are running NBX 6.5.18 in SIP mode, this is a known issue and you should contact 3com.

Running 6.5.18 in SIP. It happens all the time, no matter whether call is from PSTN or internal. Neither MOH nor MOT is enabled.
Of course our service contract had expired. We've renewed. Just waiting on the number so I can call 3Com.
If it's a known issue I hope they've got a fix.
