Re: Disabling Auto Relocate

From our Knowledgebase documentation :

How to change users and telephones

Log in and select tab to it icon

this will put you into the main tab to it page

select the user button on bottom left of tabs

highlite user 3000 and click modify

The extension number will be up on the left hand side of the page . ADO NOT CHANGE THE USER NUMBER !

In the middle of the page will be a listing of all mac addresses

find the telephone number of user in the list - say user 3000 = telephone 3000

it will have a mac addres sstarting with 00:e0:bb: and write it down - very important !

at the top of the page select none ( small circle - check it ) .

click apply .You have removed user 3000 from tel 3000

Now say ext 3001 is what you want to assign 3000 to .

Go back to the main tab to it page

go to user tab again

Select user 3001 in the screen and Modify

You are now in User 3001

find the Mac address for ext 3001

write it down

now select at the top of the page none and click apply .

You have just removed tel 3001 from user 3001

Both Tels Mac addresses should have no users assigned to them at this time

( A user but no telephone associated with the user )

Go back to tab to it

Select users

Select 3000 and modify

it should be showing none as the tel

find the mac address for 3001 written down on the above steps

highlite it and click apply

go back to the main tab to it screen

go to users

selct 3001 and click modify

Find the mac address for the old 3000

select it then click apply .

You have now switched extensions 3000 and 3001

Re: Disabling Auto Relocate

The process seems simple enough Your direction is quite clear, however I do not have that little check spot for "none". I am only able to modify the user name, title, location etc.

Thanks for your patience.

Re: Disabling Auto Relocate

under all the name and profile information there is a table with all the active/registered devices on the system. The first "device" in that table is NONE.
