FTP for call reports

I am running an NBX100 in a small office of 20. The NBX version is R6.0.40 with NBX call report 6.0. Creating call reports on the last Windows XP machine in the office is slow. I am currently exploring virtualization XP IE6 options to run the call reports on modern hardware, ftp the raw files directly from the NBX100 then use excel formulas to generate my own reports, or using http shortcuts to reach them.

What am i missing to ftp properly using filezilla? ftp://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX user/pass port:21

Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Response: 220 VxWorks (5.4.2) FTP server ready.
Command: USER administrator
Response: 331 Password required
Command: PASS ****
Response: 530 Login failed.
Error: Critical error
Error: Could not connect to server

When i try to use http shortcuts like http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/htfs0/billing.txt?billing,00000000,2012,08,13

i get 404s, i tried using a phones mac address in place of the zeros. what am i doing wrong?

I have a basic understading of csv, access databases, excel formulas, networking, and an thirst to learn. but i always rely on forums, and they have lead me here to these methods. any help or hints appreciated. am i going in the right direction? am i completely off base?

The ultimate goal is responsive quantity reporting of daily calls per user on a windows 7 machine.

Re: FTP for call reports

update

so i tried without an ftp client just browsing to ftp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and have confirmed that ftp is enabled. but it does not accept the administrators log in credentials. was their a default set? i have tried everything conceivable, it mentions it must be 8 characters. i found ftp mentioned in the help articles for ip messaging and a default password of "nice" but that was no help. I notice my failed log in attempts are unreported in the system log, i may resort to brute forcing it. any help is still aprreciated.

well i looked around the forum and found somone mention a bug where no ftp password was acceptable unless the admin password and the call reporting password were the same. well looky there! worked liked a charm!
