HTFS Status Error

Client running 5_0_31 (curious what is the circumstance where you would want to use 5_0_31? It is not the preferred version that is listed as the last available 5_0_X version on the pa.3com.com site)



System seems to be rebooting on its own according to the adminlog.txt . In there on some reboots you will see HTFS Status Error and some you would see HTFS Status OK.



What does the error mean?

Do you have the hyperterm of the boot up ? Not sure what you mean by error on HTFS0 .

sounds like system is power cycling. Power failure. battery back up dead or non existant.

Yes, it looks like the power is recycling, it IS on a battery backup, and it is a fairly new APC that is functioning.

Did you try to take it out of the battery back up ?

How many times per day / per hour does it reboot ?

It is not every day. It is random days. Sometimes weeks in between.

Pull theplug the the battery backup and see if it holds up.

I had the same issue, onsite person said UPS ok and fairly new,even though system, going up and down.

I went up to location, from Connecticut and found ups wasnt holding for more than a second, just long ensough to sound the on Battery back up tone.

It seems that it's de DB, try getting in to the boot menu, and change the boot settings, then you can try booting up on a different version, did you had any reading-writing erros before that??
