How to remotely reset/reconfigure an ATA

Any one has the command syntax for the 3Com ATA? I have a unit overseas that needs to be reconfigured. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi

YOu can either change the settings via Netset

or if you can attach a console cable and at

the ATC prompt, type Help



nbxShowConfig - shows the current configuration

nbxSetIpAddress

nbxSetGatewayAddress

nbxSetSubnetMask

are commands for setting the config on the ATA

nbxSetNCPIpAddress - command for setting the NBX that the ATA will talk to.

This command are possible to not show?

With SERIAL is possibile to enter another commands when in MONIOTR (PSBL) but the commands not store and the command about NCP IP is not present.

Another prolem? When you try to type help on -> the command that you desribe is not present.

Which ATA box do you have ? what is the model?



at the -> prompt, type lkup "nbx"



this will show the nbx commands (help does not show this)

THANKS, infact the other commands show.And now is operative.

But now for another ATA, the problem is block in a (PSBL) promt at startup.

My techical say me that put the incorrect command to load a file button, i don't know why, i suppose to select boot n to try to insert the ip addresses.

I try to boot to f and search this file (dsp_22) into directory with ls commands but ATA not boot.

Cannot find the boot file.

How to restore the ATA or put the correct path or file to boot?

what do you get when you boot the ATA?

sounds like the flash might be blown????

can you capture the console output and put it in this discussion?

Tomorrow i put the trace in this discussion.



For example the message is do not try the file in /bin

or when i put dsp_22 show message like the file is not supported.

hi.. looks to me like the flash is blown..



you know when you download a phone and you get on the lcd screen "downloading phone, do not unplug" while the flash is updating???



If you did, the flash is blown and the phone would have to be returned... looks like this is gone.. the flash image is blown.
