MOH broadcasting on network

Weird issue

We finally upgraded our NBX software to V6.

All of a sudden, our Astaro ASG started picking up a constant 80kb/sec internal traffic.

After a bit of research, we found out the the MOH MAC address is broad casting packets to the NBX. Specifically 00:e0:bb:1c:80:37 >01:e0:bb:00:00:15

Why would MOH be crashing around on the network and is there way to stop this wasted bandwidth?

Re: MOH broadcasting on network

MOH has been sending multicast since the inception of the NBX, so this is not new to NBX 6.0.

That is the way MOH works.. sending out  a packet every 24ms..

on a 100mb network, this actually takes up .0096%

Re: MOH broadcasting on network

If your switch will support it you can filter that specific MOH MAC from going to any swtich ports other than the NBX chasis & NCP.
