NBX 100 Offsite Conferencing and Paging issue
We have a customer that has a 3COM NBX 100. They have three offsite locations connected via VPN on Sonicwalls. One of the sites was originally connected via point to point T-1. They had no issues paging or conferencing. Since moving to the site to site VPN, they can no longer hear pages or conference from any of the sites. I found documentation referring to multicast addresses.
Question is: do we program those multicast addresses in the ARP table of the Sonicwall and point them to the internal address of NBX?

Re: NBX 100 Offsite Conferencing and Paging issue
hi.
I am not really a firewall expert, but don't forget that the multicast on paging and conferencing will be coming from the phones, not the NBX... so I think it is best to open up all for the MAC addresses...
I doubt if anyone else would be using those multicast mac addresses....
