NBX 100 to NBX V3000 5_0_31 version

I have very specific questions. This weekend I will be converting a customer NBX 100 5_0_31 to a V3000 5_0_31.

#1 Is there any special method to convert database (everything)? Or should I just import and export database and dialplan and go from there. It would be nice to just move everything at once. There is no support contract so opening a case is out. :)

#2 Are there any patches for 5_0_31? I understand the next version is 6.0, I have 10 systems running that code(6_5_22).

Upgrading the systems in question #1 isnt an option due to cost. 5_0_31 is still buggy, is there anything to patch with?

Re: NBX 100 to NBX V3000 5_0_31 version

1. Make a back up on the NBX 100

2. make sure any and all licenses are installed

3. After the V3000 is up and running

4. Import the database form the NBX 100 into the V3000

Done !

The db will be automatically converted . make sure the db is at least 5.0.31 and the code is the same on both boxes . After you laod the NBX 100 db you can go to any other code you need to , 6.0 6.5

No patches are needed ....

Re: NBX 100 to NBX V3000 5_0_31 version

Thanks. Now when we refer to database are we saying to export data or back up config?

I assume export/import data. Right? Not back up config and import it to new box.

The reason I ask about patches is because we dont have a license key to run Version 6.0. Meaning (unless it has now been reseased for free) (If it has please let me know how to get it) 5_0_31 is all Ive got. WOndering if tehre are any bug fixes/patches for that version of code.

Re: NBX 100 to NBX V3000 5_0_31 version

yes in netset / tab to it  go to manage data and click on back up . Then on the v3000 go to the same place and restore .

I hear you as no patches were needed for R5.0.31 code .
