NBX working on VLAN with remote phones over a VPN

Can you have a NBX system working locally on a VLAN (100) and still have remote phones working layer 3 over a vpn?  Any suggestions on how to set it up?

You must use a hardware vpn as a software vpn will not work . yes in answer to your question as we do this allo the time .
