Rewrite Outgoing CID on POTS line
I have a situation where I need to rewrite the local caller ID number to the corporate 888 number when making outgoing calls. The calls are going to go out on POTS lines. I found a few directions that accomplish the task, but they all relate to using a PRI instead. I tried to adapt the same logic to the POTS lines but have had no success. It seems like using the PRI method, you have to 'attach' the pretranslator to the PRI within netset dial plan pretranslator section of the GUI. In that area, all of the PRI lines are available to apply the translator too, but none of the POTS lines are available. Is there a different method to do this or can it even be done on individual POTS lines?
Heres a snippet of my dial plan config, basically when the users at extension 1680 or 1686 call out, the local number they use should be replaced with the 18885555555 number
PreTranslator Create 2 Change Caller ID
/ PreTransId Entry Digits
/ ---------- ----- ------
PreTranslatorEntry Create 2 1 1680
PreTranslatorEntry Create 2 2 1686
/ PreTransId Entry OperId Operation Value
/ ---------- ----- ------ --------- -----
PreTranslatorOperation Create 1 1 1 stripLead 1
PreTranslatorOperation Create 1 2 1 stripLead 1
PreTranslatorOperation Create 1 3 1 stripLead 1
PreTranslatorOperation Create 1 4 1 stripLead 1
PreTranslatorOperation Create 1 5 1 stripLead 1
PreTranslatorOperation Create 1 6 1 stripLead 1
PreTranslatorOperation Create 1 7 1 stripLead 1
PreTranslatorOperation Create 1 8 1 stripLead 1
PreTranslatorOperation Create 1 9 1 stripLead 1
PreTranslatorOperation Create 1 10 1 stripLead 1
PreTranslatorOperation Create 2 1 1 replace 18885555555
PreTranslatorOperation Create 2 2 1 replace 18885555555

Re: Rewrite Outgoing CID on POTS line
Unfortunately Caller Id does not work on Analog lines .
You MUST go to your local telephone Company provider and they can change this for you . Only the local provider can send caller id over analog lines
