T1 Tielines and dialing out to PSTN

Hello All

I am using a T1 card to tie two nbx's together, using D4 AMI.They are physically next to each other.

1 unit is running SIP mode and the other is running NIP mode, hense the tieline.

The Sip system can call extensions via this tieline no problem.

The Sip system can use the VTL's via the Tieline to call my other locations.

The SIP system can also be reached via the  tieline.

My Problem is-- how do I make outgoing calls to the PSTN from the SIP unit via the tieline?

Can this be done?

Thanks in advance

Re: T1 Tielines and dialing out to PSTN

send all of your calls that you want to use the Tie Line over via the extension list that the tie lines channels belong to

If they do not belong to a list then create a new one and route your calls outbound to this list . then the NBX on the other end will actually make the call . DO NOT strip any digits on the remote sit e, let the local NBX strip the 9 .

I had tried that no joy.

But I will try again.
