Ok I think I have figured out what I need, but not sure how to implement. When someone calls in to the main number it goes to auto-attendent. Well then if the caller times out or goes to operator, it gets fowared to a oper rollover hunt group. Problem is, that after it rings the hunt group for 30 secs the call rolls back over to the operator witch then fowards back to the oper roll over. This works ok durring the day, to assure that the call gets answered, but at night when were closed, it just sits in the loop ringing over and over. I need to know how to create a timed entry in the dial plan to roll to a voice mail after hours. So a phone call coming in, if someone hits the 0 key, or even uses the menu to go to our oper group, it will roll to a voicemail ext. Thanks.

What about just setting it up so that if the hunt group is "closed" (eg business hours are closed) it will go to a call coverage point?

I would just set up 2 seperate auto attendants, one for day and one for night... night being the one that dumps into the night mailbox...or wherever you want the calls to go. day being the daytime auto attendant that drops callers into the oper huntgroup

Your issue seems fairly simple as in a nite auto attendant. You can set a button in your AA to forward the caller to another choice either by timeout or by selecting an option . In our Knowledgebase documents there is a way to send a caller directly to vmail , say , after hitting the zero key , You can select any mailbox or create a new one , without an extension is commonly called a Phantom Mailbox . It usually entails entering a string of digits like 500**FAA and the extension number .



There are a few ways to attempt timed routes .



1. using the times of day , you can add in open , closed , luunch or other buttons and control manually

2. You can set the hours permanantly in your dial plan so that every day , @ 8 :00 Am ( set this to your schedule manually ) Your business willl oopen automatically . Also , setting up closed hours as well .

3. You can use the Dial plan to set up open closed lunch or other buttons also .
