Okay, here we go again. I just bought this box and it is full of licenses. I was in the process of backing up the database, the process completed. I was downloading the backup file to my desktop when I accidently clicked away from the NBX page while thefinished back up was downloading o my desktop. The system froze and was not pingable.
I consoled in, typed control R to reboot. The system boots now and is pingable but I cant http to it. Here is the error in the hyperterm session.
Initializing RAIMA task 26908630 on=201a0 off=2 lock-1 files=40 multi-1...
Task 26908630 (nbxTaskInit) open DB connection. Active cnxns = 1
PROGRAMMER/USER error: -6
invalid database address
C errno = 0
We just bought this system, it has $25,000 orth of licenses on it. There is no support contract as we just recieved it in teh mail today. Can someone help please?
I dont know what other versions of R5.0 are on the system. I have tried to boot into earlier versions with no luck.

SolutionUnfortunately, when this occurs, you will not be able to reboot to 5.0.31 with that database. You will need to delete the database and reboot with the default database.
First, you should ftp into the box and get your backup.. I am not sure if this backup is good or not, you will
have to try it by reinstalling... the backup is located on /htfs0/R5_0_31/NBoss. FTP the backup off and save it
Since you can get into the command prompt, you will need to do the following:
cd "/htfs0/R5_0_31/NBoss/DB"
vxtar "-xvf","cleandb.tar"
(note that you must have the quotes..)
This will delete the database in 5.0.31 and reboot the box with a clean database. Password is now the default password of 0000.
You can put your backup on now and see if it works..
hope this helps!
