Re: V3000 drops call if picked up on 1st ring
Hi.
What version of software are you running? also, where is call going? out an analog line card port or out a PRI port? are calls incoming or outgoing?

Re: V3000 drops call if picked up on 1st ring
the calls go to an Aa or direct to an extension via the auto extension fields in the port settings ?
Are they mapped lines ?
Are the lines shared with faxes / alarms etc . ?

Re: V3000 drops call if picked up on 1st ring
Since it is analog, can you go into the PSTN Gateway Confguration, click on Analog Line CArds, click on a card.
What is the timeout value? I am thinking that the timeout is around 6 seconds so it is going to
the call coverage (if any).... if it is 6 seconds, then change timeout value to 24 seconds.
Just a suggestion.. need more information

Re: V3000 drops call if picked up on 1st ring
Merlin,
It occurs when we are here. The phone rings, if we pick up on the first ring, it drops. We have to wait for the second ring.
Also we are back to IP the fly, eliminated the SIP. Elininated the NBX25 frame and just have a 100mb switch for the handsets. Either way it drops if we try to pick up on first ring.

Re: V3000 drops call if picked up on 1st ring
Try:
1. Isolate NBX with just an 8 port switch, the nbx and 2 phones
2. Do you have access to a chassis and another analog card?
3. Is the binding protocol on the card ethernet or IP?

Re: V3000 drops call if picked up on 1st ring
We have 4 analog lines going into the V3000 and handsets are handled by a 16port/100mb swtich. We got rid of our NBX25 chassis a while ago. We did have this problem when also when we had the chassis.
Our binding for the PSTN gateway and handsets is ethernet, except IP for where we have a VPN tunnel and use pcXset.
