V3001 ATA Lockup
I have a customer with (2) new V3001 systems running R6.0.64. Three times in the last two months the built-in ATA ports lockup and the system have to be rebooted to clear the problem. Could this be bad hardware? As far as I know it is only happening on one of the Call Processors.

Re: V3001 ATA Lockup
When the ATA ports "lockup", check the status in Netset.. are they listed as unknown??
also, when the ATA ports lockup, do the analog line cards lock up also? are they listed
as unknown also?
if listed as unknown, then it could be bad hardware.

Re: V3001 ATA Lockup
The ATA ports become Unknown, but not the ALC ports.
They are past their 90-day maintenance window, but within their one-years parts replacement. If we have to RMA the unit, will we still have to pay $650 to open a trouble ticket?

Re: V3001 ATA Lockup
One thing you can try to do is open the box and reseat the ATA card.
it is a daughter board right behind the ATA ports that has 4 screws.
I know some people have had luck with reseating the card.
As for your other questions, I do not know.. maybe someone else in this forum can answer.
