sip phone outside network

I'm trying to use the 3com  3108 wireless phones outside the cooperate network. I have opened port 5060 on my firewall, have a public IP pointing at it as well. SIP is enabled company wide for this.

We also have an Astaro ASG v 7.507 that has Automatic SIP mode enabled.  This works fine in network, outside network,  the 3108 is stuck in "registering" mode.

What settings am I missing in Version R6_5_22 to enable this,  and/or what setting need to be in the phone or additional port considerations in the firewall?

It uses 5060 and udp ports . I believe it is port 8000 but I am trying to find it in documentation ,.

Re: sip phone outside network

you should have port 5060 open for SIP messages... all 8xxx for RTP audio

Re: sip phone outside network

Let me know what you find, 5060 is open for SIP traffic to the V3000.

I always appreciate what you guys do. I was looking through the 3108 documentation and it did not appear to be there.

Re: sip phone outside network

I have the V3000 inputed for the sip domain address, and the public ip for the outbound address. on the phone. not sure where the error lies. if its in the phone or the nbx.

Re: sip phone outside network

if 3108 stuck in "registering" mode, this does sound like a password issue..

was password for the user set to the extension number of the 3108? also check the 3108 and make sure it has the same password.
