Right way to change a vcx's ip/subnet?
What's the right way to change a vcx's ip/subnet?
I was changing our vcx machine's ip using the vcx-reconfigure script. Now I can't get into Central Management Console!
When I go into System Administration it shows the old ip.

Re: Right way to change a vcx's ip/subnet?
Hi Nintendo1889,
Generally, if the VCX system consists of a Primary/Secondary All-in-One replicating pair, then the sequence to change the IP and subnet of the servers would be the following:
-Drop replication.
-Run vcx-reconfigure on the primary and specify the new IP and subnet.
-Reboot the primary.
-Run vcx-reconfigure on the secondary and specify the new IP and subnet.
-Reboot the secondary.
-Physically move the servers to their new subnet and ensure that they can communicate with each other via ping and/or SSH.
-Setup replication.
-Update the trusted endpoints on both the primary and secondary servers.
-Update the gateways with the new IP addresses of the primary and secondary servers.
-If the phones are configured via DHCP, then update the DHCP server's Option 184 setting with the new server IP addresses for the scope that the phones use. Reboot the phones.
-If the phones are configured statically, then update the NCP IP Address on the phones and reboot them.
