Disasters Happen – How Will You Respond?

The following is a guest post by Megan Glick, HPE Product Marketing Manager

Disasters – natural and otherwise – are a consistent threat we all live with.  While unpredictable, they’re not uncommon.  According to the latest Forrester survey, 1 in 3 companies have declared a disaster in the last 5 years.  Even more shockingly, more than 40 percent of respondents said they were only partially prepared or not at all prepared.*  Even companies that do have some kind of disaster recovery plan in place, often don’t have the resources and time to adequately test or update their disaster recovery plans and understandably so.  The cost associated with being unable to quickly or adequately recover when a disaster does occur, can be even more troublesome.

Without the sufficient tools in place, creating, testing, and updating disaster recovery plans can be daunting.  This often necessitates largely manual processes and subject-matter-experts whose time is limited and valuable.  But what if you could eliminate these roadblocks and easily and efficiently create a disaster recovery plan that was automated, predictable, flexible, and testable?

With automation and orchestration, you can easily standardize processes and workflows and create a system of record.  This allows you to automate the repetitive tasks associated with Disaster Recovery and orchestrate these processes across teams, tools, and environments.  The Disaster Recovery plan can then be called up at any time.  The process is simple and efficient:

In short, you can now automate for a better Disaster Recovery service, protect the business and realize valuable productivity benefits. Recover right, recover fast.
