What’s new with HP Service Manager

Michael Pott (michael_pott) ‎06-02-2014 01:33 AM - edited ‎09-27-2015 08:24 PM

The way IT Services are managed is changing - that is evident by what we have witnessed over the past few years. Trends like BYOD, mobility and the increasing leverage of social media for business purposes demand for new IT approaches within ITSM. These trends and technologies can help IT to become more productive, but they also trigger new user expectations. Users are demanding more, and they expect faster service delivery and a higher quality of service.

Recently, in a Vivit webinar, Scott Knox and I discussed the latest HP Service Manager 9.3x innovations. We also provided an outlook to the next HP Service Manager release. In the  webinar “What’s New with HP Service Manager”, Scott and I discussed how HP IT Service Management can help leveraging these trends and challenges to enable IT to become a successful partner to the business.

A couple of highlights from the Vivit webinar

  • In the first part, you can hear about latest trends and technologies and what they mean to IT. In this part we also discussed the typical key values and benefits your IT can gain from an ITSM solution. These include:  increased service quality, improved staff efficiency and reduced risk.
  • In the second part we summarized how HP Service Manager in general and the latest (HP Service Manager 9.31, 9.32 and 9.33 releases in particular) help IT to achieve these benefits. In this context we also briefly talked about HP Service Manager Subscription again, the HP Service Manager pay as you go solution.
  • In the third part of the webinar you can learn about the next release of HP Service Manager. In this section we discussed what capabilities in areas like simplification, automation, enterprise capabilities and connected intelligence you can expect.

For the webinar recording and a copy of the slides check “What’s New with HP Service Manager”.

By the way, not only HP Service Manager is constantly innovating - did you notice that the HP IT Service Management and HP Service Manager web pages have a new face? Both pages come with a fresh look-and-feel and are easier to navigate. I encourage you to visit them and see what you think.

Have a nice day,

Hi Roy, it was a pleasure hosting the webinar.

Hi Vadim, for more information on HP Service Manager Subscription, refer to http://www8.hp.com/us/en/software-solutions/service-manager-service-desk/index.html. You find a video and a data sheet there, providing more details than I was able to touch on during the webinar.

Have a nice day,

Michael
