HP Insight Control suite for System Center

Is this free or do you need to buy it or are some portions free and some portions for purchase.

says rec for free at the top, followed by a lot of licensing nonsense.

the toolkit from Dell is 100% free by the way.

HP delivers the ProLiant Server Management Pack, BladeSystem Management Pack, and the HP Server Updates Catalog for Configuration Manager 2007 for free. Support is through email.

The OSD capability from HP is bundled into the Insight Control suite for System Center that delivers additional integrations with the System Center products (Config Mgr, Ops Mgr, and SCVMM). The product suite also gives you 24x7 support from HP.

The product is a licensed product with a 60 day trial license when you download the software from Software Depot.

It is amazing to me that HP is going to charge me 549 dollars for a product that was written by MS, given away for free here at codeplex http://scif.codeplex.com/ and given away by Dell and IBM.

This will be roughly 550,000 dollars for us. We can switch to Dell for much less money.

HP is making a serious mistake withh this.

So is the OSD portion free or not?

Too much marketing hype and not a clear enough answer on what you are charging for and what you are not charging for.

The OSD Toolkit is only available in the Insight Control Suite for System Center and is not available as a separate free download. License information is provided in the previous reply.
