Building new RP7440 using ignite of RP 7420

Building new RP7440 using ignite of RP 7420

Hi,

We have one HP RP 7420 server with 2 partition. Now we need to build new RP7440 with 2 partition.

Can any one assure that is it posible to build the new servers from the ignite backup of 7420?

I believe that the rp7420's have Ultra160 SCSI busses for their internal disks while the rp7440's have Ultra320 SCSI. Make sure that you have the Ultra320 drivers installed into your kernel on the rp7420's before cutting your ignite images otherwise when you go to boot from the internal disks on the rp7440's the system will crash due to lack of driver support.
