Re: CMDSYS fault

Ignite 3.2 is VERY old. The first thing I would try is downloading and installing the latest version of Ignite from here:

http://software.hp.com/products/IUX/

The latest version of Ignite is C.6.0.

Re: CMDSYS fault

Hi

Yes version 6 does have the problem that it does not support 10.20 and its very neaded.

So please any good suggestion about version and where to download because you can only access version 6 off ignite there

Re: CMDSYS fault

I think you mean 'SYSCMDS', and it is located in /opt/ignite/data/Rel_B.11.00. make_tape_recovery needs to put that and several other Ignite files on the tape. To do that those files must exist on the client creating the tape.

So make sure that /opt/ignite/data/Rel_B.11.00/SYSCMDS exists and is readable.

Re: CMDSYS fault

cd /opt/ignite/data/Rel_B.11.00
gzcat SYSCMDS | pax -tvf -

This should generate a table of contents of the SYSCMDS command archive. If it doesn't then diagnose why.

On my system the mode/perms are:
(Ignite rev C.6.0.109)
dr-xr-xr-x 18 bin bin 1024 Sep 22 15:40 /opt/ignite
dr-xr-xr-x 11 bin bin 1024 Aug 17 10:32 /opt/ignite/data
dr-xr-xr-x 2 bin bin 1024 Jul 15 09:57 /opt/ignite/data/Rel_B.11.00
-r--r--r-- 1 bin bin 14570487 Sep 19 21:07 /opt/ignite/data/Rel_B.11.00/SYSCMDS
