CONFIG file is corrupted in LIF.

Hi,

I burnt DVD media with HP-UX 11iv3 Sep 2010 release.

I tried to copy the CONFIG file from LIF of the DVD to make bootable image using the following command.

lifcp :CONFIG /tmp/CONFIG.

The file /tmp/CONFIG should contain the system config definitions. (Ignite config format)

However, in my case, the file is corrupted and it seems to be a binary file..

I tried buring the iso image into other DVD but of no use.. Everytime, I get different content of the CONFIG file.

Can you help me to solve this problem?

It's hard to help you unless you're able to provide details on what you've done to create the LIF in the DVD (or even create the DVD).

For example after reading your post I'm unclear if you've created your own media or after copying the 11.31 media you're having problems.
