Can make_recovery be used to modify VG parameters

We have an N4000 with 2 x 36Gb internal disks (mirrored). These are at full capacity so we intend to replace them with 2 x 72Gb internal disks however when vg00 was created, "Max PE per PV" was set at 4350 x 8Mb PE = 34800Mb.

Can we use make_recovery to modify the MAX PE and/or PE size on vg00 to allow us to utilise the entire 72Gb disks via an interactive restore.

Hi Mathew

Yes, you can use make_recovery to modify the MAX PE and/or PE size on vg00 to allow us to utilise the entire 72Gb disks via an interactive restore. Following link may be useful

hi,

refer to this doc:

http://www1.itrc.hp.com/service/cki/docDisplay.do?docLocale=en_US&docId=200000067004327

u would need to ensure that -I option is use in make_tape_recovery to allow u interactive mode.
