Cannot Recover to hot-swapable disk with make_tape_recovery
36GB hot swappable disk module A6737A
L class HP9000 11.0 A5191B
C6365A DDS3 DAT Tape Drive
After successful completion of make_tape_recovery command with -A option, replaced root disk with blank target disk to create spare boot disk. When attempting to boot from the tape drive, system takes a processor error after initial boot. The boot process does not complete and no installation from the tape occurs.

Re: Cannot Recover to hot-swapable disk with make_tape_recovery
Can you list the ioscan?
Is this suppose to be the alternate boot disk?
Is this the automatic recovery without user interaction?

Re: Cannot Recover to hot-swapable disk with make_tape_recovery
This may be a random event, poorly timed. Try putting the original disk back and see if the system boots.
If my suspicion is right, it won't.
Also, I've sometimes had to disconnect serves from fiber networks to get them to boot off Ignite tapes. You can plug them in right after the kernel loads.
