Client unable to boot from igninte installed image

The Client is a IA RX2800 I6.

All right. I setup my Ignite UX server on a OS that is about March of 2015 (B.11.31.1603).

My iso image is the Sept.2017 of HPUX 11.31 DCOE.

My ignite utilities are the C.7.23.100 version of Ignite.

My client boots from a directed boot lan profile. The ignite server refuses the first PXE request, but, a second request works for a PXE boot.

When my client gets to the Screen after the [ Install HPUX ], where you select the swap space and other things, we select the new default 11.31 is shown and the 11.31 DCOE entry we created. We get an Error saying the Selected kernel is newer then the OS kernel booted and wont continue the install.

My take is the host OS kernel is too old to work with the client(??), but why would it just quit the install and not install the 11.31 DCOE kernel installed in the depot?

Re: Client unable to boot from igninte installed image

Figured it out.

I was under the impression that IInstal would be replaced when the new ignite uilities were installed ontop of the old version. It does not appear to be so. Once I removed all the utilities both new and old, and re-installed only the new release. the I6 ignited great.

Btw, the new RX2900 I6 require at least 11/17 release of HPUX 11.31,
