Connection to server times out

I have HP-UX 11.11 server and each time users logon.. after a minute or two it times out and closes connection.

Does anyone have idea why my machine is experiencing time out sessions ?

Hi,
how does the user connect, by hostname or by ip-address.
Check the name resolution both on the server and the client.

Can you telnet/ping off the server ?

I cannot Telnet into the box or secure shell.

Do you have a seesion open on the system? If so, check the syslog.

A couple of potential causes:
table full error - need to increase nproc
/ or /var file system full

You guys.. I goofed.

I just notice that I have two servers with the same ip address...

I believe this is where my problem is....

Having two servers with the same IP address will definitely cause all sorts of communications issues.........

Where do I find the set_params script ?

Or is this a script ?

It is a script in sbin

run
/sbin/set_parms ip_address

to change the ip address

or you can also change it in SAM
