Re: Error while ading Ignite Clinet

can your netbackup "server" remote execute commands on your client ? can your client remote execute commands on your server ?

is there anything mounted already ? run #mount command, maybe it's already mounted, if so, unmount it.. and try again.

No, I am not able to run remote commands, I added the serverentries in the client's .rhost file.I am able to do rlogin and remsh from another box to the Ignite client but not from the ignite server.

Re: Error while ading Ignite Clinet

What account is trying to do this mount? Does it have the permissions?

What are the permissions on the hostname:/var/opt/ignite/clients mount point? Does it exist?

Is the mount point being exported? Is it being exported to the specific client that you are working with? An example entry from the /etc/exports file shows this mount point exported to everyone with no restrictions. Do you have the same?
/var/opt/ignite/clients -anon=2

You can verify by using the command 'showmount -e' or 'view /etc/xtab'
