Fixing device files with H/W Path?

Hy,

is it possible to fix some device file with some H/W Path thru procedure of make_tape_recovery?
e.g. there is disk with H/W path of 0/0/1/1.2.0
and with device file of /dev/dsk/c1t2d0.

So my questionis: Where can be writen during procedure of make_tape_recovery, anything what is on 0/0/1/1.2.0 should have device number /dev/dsk/c1t2d0?

Thanks,
Davor

I'm sorry, I don't understand your question in combination with ignite.

You can use the rmsf and insf commands to remove and create special device files.

Re: Fixing device files with H/W Path?

Yes, I want to change instance number of some devices, but I would like it to do thru procedure of make_tape_recovery, thru some config_file like system_cfg or something similar?
