Golden Image

Hi All,

can anybody help me out to create a golden image of hp-ux server to CD/DVD ROM. My server is rx2620 with no CD/DVD writer. Os is hp-ux 11.23.

thank you for the link. My problem is how can I write the image to a DVD, since my server don't have a DVD writer. Is there any way to write the image with a DVD writer connected to windows machine?.

As you can see in the instruction, you will write an ISO image to the dvd in the last step.
You have an ISO image, so why don't burn this on another machine?

The ISO image is a file which can be transfered and written on to a media anywhere.

On which platform do you have your CD/DVD writer?

Do you have a PC with DVD writer?
Then you could use software like NERO or Adaptec Easy CD Creator. There's also some shareware/freeware available for this purpose.

If you have another Unix/Linux system available you can use the 'dd' command.

I got enough steps to create the golden image and write to media(CD/DVD) from the link which you people given. thanks agin
