I have configured a couple of golden images that are working fine with automated installations using bootsys, but there is one thing I want I can't get to work.
and it's when the golden image end it's installation, I don't want it to set any ip's nor hostname, I wan't it to ask me for the hostname,ip,timezone on the last boot like when you are configuring a new system.
Is there any parameter i can add to the config.local for example?
this is what i have:
in the INDEX:
cfg "HP-UX B.11.23 imagenes MDEF" {
description "Golden Images for MDEF of 11.23"
"/opt/ignite/data/Rel_B.11.23/config"
"/opt/ignite/data/Rel_B.11.23/hw_patches_cfg"
"/var/opt/ignite/archives/Rel_B.11.23/B.11.23.golden_image.cfg"
"/var/opt/ignite/data/Rel_B.11.23/depot.freeware"
"/var/opt/ignite/data/Rel_B.11.23/config.local"
}
In the /var/opt/ignite/data/Rel_B.11.23/config.local
# /var/opt/ignite/config.local: config file to be used for local customizations.
post_config_script += "/var/opt/ignite/scripts/crea_securefs.ksh"
sd_command_line += " -xpatch_save_files=false "
root_password="???┬┐┬┐┬┐?┬┐?┬┐"
timezone="MET-1METDST"
can you add something like:
hostname=""
??
Thnx!

Re: Golden image - config.local - question
I believe you don't want to 'set_parms' at every login as root ;-) - maybe you can create such a user.

Re: Golden image - config.local - question
You could use a sentinel file so you only do it once. You would have to add code to root's .profile.

Re: Golden image - config.local - question
HOSTNAME=""
so when it boots up for the first time it asks for the netinfo.
Thnx all.
