Can I have 2 HD in a C3000 and have them loaded with 2 different OS or the same OS 10.20 but totaly independent so I can boor one at the time?
Then can I have a back up of my system on a CD or a DVD? Something that can be loaded later from the IDE scsi unit

Re: HP C3000
Yes, if they are boot boot disks, you should be able to boot then one or the other.
at boot, interupt at the 10 second prompt.
To boot off the first disk
bo pri
to boot of the second
bo alt
If there is a problem, You didn't mirror or install the os properly on one or the other disks.

Re: HP C3000
Yes it is possible. Only thing is you need to set the primary path for one disk and alternate path for the other disk.
You can do this using command "setboot" see man setboot. This sets boot parameters for the system. Same can be done at PDC prompt.
And then boot as suggest above.
Regards,

You need to know a lot to actually know how little you know

Re: HP C3000
Yes it is possible to install two versions of HPUX on two different hardisks.
But, you will have the primary loaded automaticly and the other you will have to boot by Interrupting the boot process.
Hope this helps,
Robert-Jan
