HP-IGNITE

Is there a switch or something that can be set to have a "Make_recovery" that will cover more than VG00 (i.e. VG01 & VG02)
I use to be able to do this in HP 10.20 but I have a problem in HP 11.0. It creates a corrupted entry and I have to go into SAM to remove the entry and recreate VG01 and VG02 via SAM and load the data via another
tape.

Re: HP-IGNITE

run your make_recovery with the "p" option to create the arch.include file, once that has run, edit the arch.include it include the additional files that you want, beware when you do this you will run into space issues becuase make_recovery will try to put those files in vg00 volume group. the best way to do this is to not modify the arch.include and run a fbackup with a graph file, to include the additional file system you want. its an extra tape but it will be much more manageable when your done and you dont have to worry about makeing vg00 bigger when you run the make_recovery.

Re: HP-IGNITE

Hi

Using the latest version of ignite then:-

-x include=file|dir
Includes the file or directory in the recovery archive but
does not cross any mount points.

Re: HP-IGNITE

Hi
ALSO:-

-x inc_entire=/dev/dsk/|vg_name
Includes all file systems contained on the specified disk or
volume group. Use a block device file of the format
/dev/dsk/ when specifying a whole-disk (non-LVM) file
system. Use the volume group name (such as vg00) when you
want all file systems that are part of that LVM volume group
to be included in the archive.

Re: HP-IGNITE

If you run make_tape_recovery -i you get to the GUI and can
select which VG or files to include
